This site is designed to work without an account and without collecting personal data. This page describes exactly what is stored and by whom.
What is stored in your browser
Your progress (logged sessions, ticked milestones, flashcard scheduling, quiz scores, preferences), your daily free-tier usage counts, and, if you bought Pro, your license key. All of it is kept in your browser's local storage on your device. It is never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes it; the "Erase all progress" button in the app removes it too. Pro users can download a backup file and restore it on another device; that file stays on your devices.
What we receive
- Nothing, by default. The site has no accounts, no login and no forms that send us data, except the ones listed below.
- License checks. When you enter a Pro license key, the key is sent to our payment provider (Lemon Squeezy or Gumroad, see below) to confirm it is valid. We do not store it on a server of ours.
- Email list. If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address is stored by our email provider (Buttondown) and used only to send that newsletter. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Support email. If you write to us, we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to help you.
Payments
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, LLC, who act as the merchant of record. They collect the information needed to process the payment and issue an invoice (name, email, billing country, payment details) under their own privacy policy. We receive your email address and order details so that we can provide support and honour refunds.
Analytics and cookies
The site sets no cookies of its own. We use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics service that stores no cookies and no personal data, to count page views and referrers in aggregate. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may log the request in accordance with Google's privacy policy; the audio in the pronunciation guide uses your device's own speech synthesis and sends nothing anywhere.
Third-party links
The resources page links to other companies' sites, some through affiliate programmes. Those sites have their own privacy policies. Affiliate links are marked with a disclosure on that page.
Your rights
Because we hold almost nothing about you, most requests are simple: delete your browser's site data to remove your progress, unsubscribe to leave the newsletter, or email us to have support correspondence or order records deleted where the law allows. Residents of the EU, UK, California and other jurisdictions with data-protection laws have rights of access, correction, deletion and portability; write to mayutistvis@gmail.com to exercise them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted on the home page.
